Suniva

American Quality, American Technology, American Reliability

Suniva is the leading U.S. manufacturer of high-efficiency, high-quality PV solar cells and high-power modules. Our corporate offices, manufacturing plant and R&D labs are headquartered in Norcross, Georgia, just 12 miles from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). Suniva’s American innovation evolved from Georgia Tech’s University Center of Excellence for Photovoltaic Research and Education (UCEP), one of the most advanced crystalline PV labs in world. UCEP's founding director, world-renowned PV scientist Dr. Ajeet Rohatgi, is Suniva's co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, with more than 400 papers and 16 PV patents to his name.

Since its inception, Suniva has rapidly introduced three new generations of cell technology, each more efficient and lower in cost than the preceding one. The company’s patented cell designs, unique manufacturing processes, and continual innovations of our R&D division have led to world records in cell efficiency using rugged, sustainable, low-cost processes. This in turn allows us to produce high-quality, high-power PV modules that exceed global and U.S. certifications and provide outstanding reliability.
Suniva's success as a U.S. leader in solar cell and module technology is directly related
to the company’s commitment to reliability, high-quality and high power density,
making solar an even more sensible solution.
Suniva is one of only a few U.S.-owned manufacturers that offer Buy America-compliant* modules, which contain more than 80% U.S. content. Our premium solar modules have one of the highest percentages of U.S. content in the industry and are sold all over the world. Suniva’s in-house module facility offers even greater value to customers requiring "Buy America" solar products.

You’ll find that Suniva consistently exceeds U.S. and European certifications and testing standards – including the first “PID free”-rated module and one of the first manufacturers in the United States to offer 1000 VDC design, enabling our customers to reduce overall component costs while increasing efficiency.

Suniva is committed to developing and manufacturing in the United States. As a privately-held American company, we provide the professionalism, quality, reliability and innovation customers demand.
